| Econen II Ecoread is an easy-to-use onboard computer for monitoring the driver's working hours, vehicle usage and fuel consumption. Ecoread comes with a card reader that makes it possible to record driver hours, loading and unloading times, driving speeds, fuel consumption, breaks, etc., specifically for each individual driver. All this information can be used for improving the efficiency of fleet operation. |
By means of the driver ID card, accurate data on the vehicle
and driver performance can be saved to the driver's personal account.
Each driver has a card that is inserted into Econen II Ecoread at the
beginning of the work shift. The data stored in the computer can be
downloaded to a PC either by taking the unit to the company office or
by inserting the card into a card reader. Additionally, an optional GSM
device allows the data to be retrieved over a wireless connection
irrespective of the location of the vehicle. In this configuration, the
modem is installed on the vehicle permanently and may be used for
positioning as well as data transfer.
With Econen II, driver-specific data can be stored accurately. Easy
monitoring of working hours eliminates the need for interpreting
tachograph charts, thereby reducing office work. What is more, driver
ID cards make it possible to monitor vehicle and driver-specific
performance with great accuracy. As a result, the information can be
used for educating drivers and encouraging them to adopt a more
economic driving style.
