RAMI – Reaction time indicator RAMI is a user-friendly electronic reaction time indicator, which makes it easy to measure the driver’s reaction and braking times and distances. It takes dangerously long for a driver to start braking after noticing an obstacle. The indicator can also estimate the velocity at which the vehicle would hit the obstacle had braking started at a higher speed. RAMI is designed especially for use in driving schools. It facilitates and enhances driving instruction. Since reaction time and braking tests previously called for large-scale preparations and a training circuit, only a few pupils got the opportunity to take the tests. Thanks to the ease of installation and nonexistent operating costs, the braking test can be carried out as many times as needed, nearly anywhere and at the chosen driving speed.
